The Report Card

Okay all you Frindle fans, here's another selection by Andrew Clements. The Report Card asks some pretty tough questions about why there is a need for grades in school, and why students must take standardized tests like the Connecticut Mastery Tests. In South Carolina, we take the Palmetto Achievement Challenge Tests (PACT), but the connection to PACT can be made easily in this story. I think this book will launch a hot debate on grades, testing, and other programs that label students. Can there be a winner or loser? Read this book and let's debate!
